Fiesta Yarns
The yarn company of “Dye-Pot Goddess” and good friend Jeannie Randolph, Fiesta produces one of my all time favorite and much used fibers, the tubular rayon ribbon called “Gelato” as well as lots of other hand-dyed fibers to drool over. They’ve also created kits with Gelato and color-matched (by me!) Japanese seed beads to help you create many of the projects from Betsy Beads. Kits? We love that, right? Thanks Jeannie!

I am a sucker for bold, highly saturated colors and unexpected color combinations in my variegated fibers and Interlacements has these in spades. “New York” is their tubular rayon ribbon and it proved irresistible as I created several projects for Betsy Beads, including Over The Rainbow, Wrap and Roll and Beads by the Barrel. Kreinik Threads
Fellow teacher and friend Myra Wood helped me discover a new world of knitting fibers when she introduced me to Kreinik Threads. I didn’t care that these gorgeous silks and metallics are not the first fibers knitters think of because of how fine they are. Just add some beads, conquer your fear of working on small needles, get to work and be amazed at the results. Examples from Betsy Beads include the Fours Seasons Necklace, Silver Orbit Earrings and Precious Hoop Earrings. Fiber love!
